(Frisco, Texas) February 17, 2012 ~ Taking a camera and shooting a picture is an easy deal for most people. What about going further? What about using the pictures to help potential visitors discover what's unique and fun about Frisco?
The Frisco Convention & Visitors Bureau will be accepting entries online for the 3rd Annual You Be the Tour Guide Photo Contest from students and amateur photographers age 15 or older March 9 through April 20. The most striking color images will be considered for prizes to be awarded during a National Travel & Tourism Week event 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at a TBD location inside Stonebriar Centre.

The FISD high school with the most entries will receive a $500 donation to the photo journalism department from Stonebriar Centre. There will also be one grand prize winner from the FISD high school entries that will be chosen to receive a $250 gift certificate from Stonebriar Centre.
CVB Executive Director Marla Roe says, "We're expecting to get a broad range of photographs reflecting everything that make Frisco special. We want people to be inspired to visit when they see the images."

Shutterbugs interested in or who have already captured the sights, the scenes and the people of Frisco can begin submitting entries online March 9th. Contest rules will be posted online at www.visitfrisco.com on March 1.
